    Pardeeville's Jack Bray recently won five racewalking gold medals while competing in the World Masters Athletics Championships July 28-Aug. 8 in Lahti, Finland. Bray placed first individually in the 5K, 10K and 20 K racewalks and won a pair of gold medals as part of Team USA in the 10K and 20 racewalks. Over 5,000 athletes competed at the WMA Championships, which are held every other year.

    Pardeeville cross country coach Wes Babcock was curious how his girls team would fare this season with the graduation of all-state runner Sam Bluske, now a freshman runner at Illinois State. Turns out the Bulldogs might be better.

    North Central University senior Cross Country Runner and 2006 Portage High School graduate Daniel Bare was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for Men's Cross country after claiming an individual victory at the Early Bird Invitational at Bassett Creek Park in Crystal, Minn.

    With its top five runners coming home in the top 24, the Lodi boys cross country team took home first place honors at the Poynette Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Pauquette Pines Golf Course. The Blue Devils were led by Andrew Findora, who finished in eighth place with a time of 18 minutes, 53 seconds.
