MAILBAG: Beware changes at FCC

Under the fairness act, the redistribution of broadcasting licenses is being advocated by Mark Lloyd, an Obama administration appointee "diversity czar" to the Federal Communication Commission.

Lloyd's goal is to progressively delicense large radio network and satellites and replace them with government-approved local broadcasting. Thus, a smothering National People's Radio System, a censorship of programming this administration might deem as confrontational to or critical of its agenda.

This is a planned back-door attempt to control vocal disapproval of the socialistic drift the country is facing. Funding and influence is coming from George Soros, the Center for American Progress and Moveon.org, all ultra-liberal, anti-free speech advocates.

Alarming is the fact that congressional authority can be bypassed completely. The FCC alone determines who gets broadcast licensing.

Be aware, balanced free speech is under attack. Lloyd's plan for media control should be viewed as the Katrina of the First Amendment.

Any pretense at fairness by such restrictions is a complete farce.

Write to Congress that you will never surrender your First Amendment rights.
