It is too bad that the Portage School District is not looking for ways to increase the number of students who opt in to Portage.

Potential students would be drawn to the Portage District through an expansion of River Crossing Environmental Charter School. River Crossing is an award-winning, nationally recognized charter school. The Portage community schools should invest some time to work with River Crossing to encourage students to attend from outside the district.
